Recording our weekly wrap up early. Why? The sunrise over the mighty clarence river. 🤩 this year’s Social Impact in the Regions conference is located right on the Clarence. Luckily we know our speakers will hold the attention of the delegates because - the views ❤️

The Grafton Jacaranda Festival crew are beautiful

The Grafton Jacaranda Festival crew are beautiful woven through the whole conference this year. From providing local connections to turning up to our lead in Ready Communities Readiness events, making the conference dinner an event to remember and partnering with the shop local (Jaca Card) and Search and Stay program.

There’s something magic about building community partnerships that don’t start with why? Just yes! 🙌

When you arrive in Grafton know that purple is always a colour of choice and (as we learned this morning) it’s ok to wear a tiara to breakfast.

At SIITR25 you’ll also learn about the extraordinary youth leadership program the festival runs leading into the annual festival.

And some trivia - Jacaranda festival is 91 years old. Each year it attracts over 45,000 to the town.

A successful wine tasting leading into the confere

A successful wine tasting leading into the conference. Each year we spend just over $100k to produce the event. What drives our purchasing decisions? (1) is it local? (2) is it a business for good? (3) is it a small business?

While our wine won’t be produced locally (there isn’t a local vineyard) we love that Goodwill Wine is a social enterprise AND will allocate a percentage of our purchase to Grafton’s Jacaranda Festival. And (for the record) our beer from Grafton Brewing Co will travel about 600m from the keg to conference door.
