National Regional Challenges
Our National Regional Challenges will launch on 20 May. If you're doing something to create change in your regional community in the areas of sustainability, local economy, cultural practices, community contribution, intergenerational connection or liveability we want to learn more !
Regional advocacy
We publish our annual Impact report on 20 May
The report highlights shares results from our previous year's work, and sets the tone for the work in the year ahead featuring the focus areas nominated by our Flagship Program host community.
The Conference
Social Impact in the Regions
Social Impact in the Regions (SIITR) brings over 250 delegates to the host community each year. The event is always held on the first Weds-Fri of September.
Delegates represent people who are creating and investing in social impact in regional communities.
- SIITR BENEFITS TO YOUR TOWN
- Local spend: Has a direct spend of $100K (primarily with small businesses) in the local community. The indirect economic impacts are over $420K annually.
- Raise awareness: Brings a range of practitioners and investors to the community who otherwise may never come to town.
- Enhance local tourism product: We work in regional communities that don't usually host national conferences supporting them to get conference ready.
We bring over 50 speakers who showcase their knowledge across plenary sessions, workshops, masterclasses and LOCAL IMPACT LABS.
Flagship program
Each year we commence a new 24-month Flagship Program.
Our flagship program combines all of our offerings. We work deeply in the community as we map, weave community conversations, activate and discover opportunities which are then showcased in the conference (SIITR).
The Ready Communities Flagship Program was hosted in Kempsey NSW (2024), Grafton NSW (2025) and Stanthorpe QLD (2026).
