#readygrafton is up and running. Our program has changed significantly following analysis of our pilot in Kempsey last year.

The Ready Communities Discovery phase enables us t

The Ready Communities Discovery phase enables us to let the truth get in the way of a good story. In this phase we immerse deeply in our host community to listen, learn and observe. We map policies, programs, key stakeholders and community aspirations. And. We test what we see and learn in contrast to the stories we hear.

This year we are running our discovery program in Grafton. Many people told us to steer clear of South Grafton. We aren’t into ‘steering clear’ and we’re delighted to meet Sam who, in partnership with her husband and investors has created an incredible community space at the Good Intent Hotel, South Grafton.

This meeting reminded us of many things (1) there are many versions of the truth (2) business plays an integral role in social impact (3) the emerging spaces are just as important as the thriving ones and (4) it feels so good to discover something that goes against the expected norm.

If you’re about we thoroughly recommend you pop in. And if you’re coming to Social Impact in the Regions in #grafton this year expect to see more of this great venue. @good_intent_hotel_grafton
