Readiness workshop: Monto

Is your region investment ready?
There’s a lot of time spent talking about problems. What would happen if a room full of motivated community members got together to talk about opportunities?
In this workshop you’ll learn alongside other locals as you kick off your investment ready journey and learn how readiness can give life to your community’s greatest aspirations.
Who should attend?
Readiness is a tool that any regional community member can use to create and sustain change. You may work or volunteer for a local not for profit, be involved in a community group, run a local business, or attend a local school. It’s relevant to anyone ready to create change.
Content
The workshop will cover the following themes:
- Readiness index – what is it and how does it work?
- How to steer away from problems and towards opportunities
- Identify local networks and map local relationships and partnerships, capacity and capabilities
- Improve and expand funding opportunities
- Identify collaborative opportunities
- Develop an action plan
And there’s more! Following the workshop participants will have access to:
- A one to one mentoring session with Dr. Chad Renando or Kerry Grace
- A group mentoring session
- Two people (one youth delegate) from each workshop will receive a ticket to Social Impact in the Regions 2026 in Stanthorpe QLD 2-4 September
- A follow up group mentoring session
The workshop and program is brought to you with the generous support of the team at John Villiers Trust.
We acknowledge the local support provided by the Monto Neighbourhood Centre.
