Our Focus communities
Our focus communities
While Ready Communities delivers a range of programs throughout Australia, each year we hone in on a focus community to deliver our place-based Flagship program.
Our Flagship program is a multi-year, place-based program that works deeply in the focus community. The program combines our three phases: Discover, Activate and Amplify. The Social Impact in the Regions conference is delivered in the first year of the program.
We provide ongoing support and ensure interested community members are linked with our ever growing alumni network.

What do we look for in a focus community?
We are currently on the lookout for focus communities to deliver our flagship program and Social Enterprise in the Regions national conference between 2026-2030.
The communities we look for meet some, or most of the following criteria:
- A desire to become a ready community demonstrated by a community leader (from any part of the community) who is prepared to champion and support the program.
- Capacity to deliver an event for 300 people (we don't need fancy venues nor accommodation, just a willingness to create spaces and a little room to move.)
- A population (or sub-population) of 25,000 or less
- A willingness to focus on opportunities over problems and;
- Capacity to support us to source investors to sponsor in the program
